The location is perfect since it is less than a block from my job
I have been coming to this hotel since I was a little girl. We would have family reunion during the Labor day weekend and would use the meeting room to host the family that stayed at the hotel. The hotel has switched owners but I think Motel 6 is going to make the old Limestone Inn have a great come back. There are somethings that still need a little retouch but I know it is coming. I come every other weekend and Drew is fantastic and the customer service is awesome.
The carpet was super gross. It needs to be replaced or the very least shampooed. There was dirt collecting all along the base boards. It smelled really muggy in the room we had, the whole place just needs an update. Our stay was peaceful other than that.
This hotel is a great place to stay. Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff and an awesome location. The price is very reasonable for the rooms. I'd definitely stay again.
I can attest to how NASTY/GROSS the rooms are at Motel 6 in Grosebeck. June 30 this year me and my boyfriend had reservations to stay there. We found them by looking on line at priceline or one of those sights, the picture shown online is NOTHING LIKE THE ROOM! The ine shown on line is a "fake" room. Its around 11:20 PM when we pull up it looks like a scene from a Norman Bates movie. The parking lot is very dark and shady to say the least. There are maybe 10 cars max in the lot. Across the street is some kind of a store, people are all in the parking lot playing loud music and talking. I look at my boyfriend like what the __ and said i hope we are far away from the noise. He goes inside to check in and i lock my doors and start grabbing anything valuable/change i can and shove in my bag to carry in. My boyfriend comes back out and says we're in room number 2 um you mean right by the noise across the street? He said yes and i said i hope tbey dont go shooting or anything. He said he asked the guy behind the counter if they had the porn channel as a joke. The guy pulled out a bunch of xxx movies from under the counter and said you can rent one of these if you like my boyfriend laughed and said no. We hurried up and grabbed our bags from the truck and went inside. The room smelled like it hadn't been used in years smelled musty. I have severe allergies and started looking for my medicine. I sat my laptop bag down and other bag in the chair. The walls are an ugly orange color and the bed spread looked to be from the early 70's. Boyfriend goes to "checkout" the bathroom he goes hum and comes back in room part. I pull the one corner of the comforter back about 2 to 3" and said oh hell no. My boyfriend said whats wrong. I said "look there a freaking bed bug no wait make it 2 of them". I start taking pictures. He said dont open any bags. I said forget this were out of here. We reload the truck and walk into the lobby. The same guy is still behind the counter. We tell him we're leaving and he's like why i speak up and say that room is full of bed bugs and showed him the picture i took. He said oh you want another room? My boyfriend said no just refund my money asap which he did. This is this faster i've ever checked into a motel/hotel room in my life this took a total of 10 minutes we were in and out. We high tailed it back towards 45. We booked a room at the Super 8 in Fairfield and stayed the weekend. Sorry for the long rant. This picture is from Motel 6. Also this is one of those "pay by the need" places you can tell by the attitude from clerk and video stash. If i could leave -stars i would. This place needs to be shut down by the health and police department.
